This work was first created by Osamu Saruyama, designer and owner of the antique shop Saruyama, who copied an 18th-century pewter plate for the exhibition Utsukotokara (meaning ‘from replication’). This meeting of East and West gave this style of dish a new lease of life. A versatile range of dishes that suit any food or setting.
